MacKenzie, Lillian “Marie” – 87, of Annapolis Royal formerly of Waldec, passed away suddenly at home January 5, 2015. Born in Waldec, she was a daughter of the late William and Lillian (Dukeshire) Ring. Marie’s passion was dancing with Buster. In their community Buster and Marie went to all kinds of different dances, where they were known as “the dancing couple” always smiling, laughing and happy to be in each other’s arms. Marie and Buster spent 68 years together. They enjoyed travelling locally and as far away as Europe. Marie was a kind hearted soul, always checking on her family and friends. She loved to cook and share her cooking to all. She also was a passionate and avid quilter, “log cabin” was her favorite pattern. Marie was very involved in Clementsvale United Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Albert “Buster”, DVA Middleton; daughter, Bonnie Hudson, Clementsvale and son, Wayne MacKenzie, Ottawa; grandchildren, Michael Hudson, Stephen Hudson and Marlene Beecroft; brother, Dean Ring. She is predeceased by, grandson, Gregory Hudson; sisters, Freda Crosby and Irene Ostlin; brother, William Ring. Following Marie’s wishes there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 10, 2015, in Clementsvale United Baptist Church, Clementsvale, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
