Obituary of Leona Pearl Phelan

Phelan, Leona Pearl, 85, of Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown passed away February 3, 2015 in the lodge with her family by her side. Born in Clementsvale she was a daughter of the late Selden and Jennie (Pulley) Potter. Leona was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid bowler. Leona is survived by daughters, Susan Taylor of Ottawa, Jennie (Bill) Robertson of Rexton, NB, Mary Anne (Allan) Hannam of Meadowvale, Sally (Marc) Marshall of Oklahoma City; son, Patrick (Michelle) of Bridgetown; daughter in-law, Patricia Oliver Phelan of New Minas; grandchildren, Heather Robertson (Cecil Morton), John (Carla) Robertson, Ellie (Thom) Untenburger, Aaron Hannam, Thomas Phelan, Julianne Phelan (Matt Sandy), Jonathan (Montana) Marshall, Jody Marshall, Sarah Phelan, Conor Phelan; nine great grandchildren; sister, Christine Larramore; brother, Lewis Potter. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis; sons, Louis Jr. and Thomas George; daughter, Ruth Marie; sisters, Violet and Doris; brothers, Lenley and Allan. Visitation will be held Friday 3-8 p.m. with prayers being said at 7:00 p.m. at the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown. Funeral service will be held Saturday Feb. 7, 2015 at 11;00 a.m. from St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Joseph Thomas officiating. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.
