Banks, Donald Joseph – 60 of Youngs Cove, Annapolis Co., passed away March 12, 2015, in Annapolis Community Health Centre, Annapolis Royal after a yearlong battle with cancer. In particular, he enjoyed doing dry walling. He was a member of the Parkers Cove Baptist Church, and an avid NASCAR and star trek fan. Most of his spare time was spent working for others. Donnie is survived by his wife Rosemary (Rafuse); daughters, Shyla Banks and Michaela Banks, both at home; sisters, Beverly (Steve) Hannam, Bridgetown, Brenda (Joey) Beals, Lawrencetown; brothers, Wayne (Sue) Banks, Sydney, Cape Breton and Edward (Alma) Banks, Saint John, NB; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday March 17, in Parkers Cove Baptist Church, with Pastor Ewen McKillop officiating, assisted by Pastor Steve Hiltz. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery, Parkers Cove at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Buchholz and nurses at ACHC and VON.
