Obituary of Arlen Ellis Robinson

Robinson, Arlen Ellis, 75 of Parkers Cove, Anna. Co passed away April 13, 2015 in the Annapolis Community Health Center, Annapolis Royal. Born in Parkers Cove, he was a son of the late Boyd and Ruby (Ellis) Robinson. Arlen was a fisherman since he was 16 years old, he fished on his father’s owned and operated fishing vessel built in 1955 named the Compass Rose. Arlen owned and operated 3 fishing vessels during his fishing career of which he never fully retired, 1 of which he and his father built at Robinson’s Fisheries Limited at Parkers Cove. He played for the Parkers Cove Pirates when he was a young man and later very much enjoyed assisting the Parkers Cove Vikings hockey team of which both his sons played. He was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting and snowmobiling during the winter months. Arlen was fortunate enough to have made a living for his family doing what he loved. He is survived by his wife Ann (Longmire); daughter Holly (Stephen) Orde, Parker Mountain Road; son Ashley (Raelene) Robinson, Parkers Cove; son Anthony Robinson Parkers Cove; his grandchildren whom he truly loved: Joshua, Evan, Samantha, Chasity, Aaron, Natasha, Noah and McKenzie; brothers: Stewart (Diane), Parker Mountain Road; Gary ( Debbie) North Battleford, Saskatchewan. No visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Parkers Cove Baptist Church with Pastor Ewen MacKillop officiating assisted by Trevor Longmire. Burial in Parkers Cove Cemetery.
