Obituary of Robert Wayne Amero

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we the family of Robert Wayne Amero of Hampton, N.S. announce his peaceful passing July 26, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born August 31, 1949 at the Annapolis General Hospital he was a son of the late Evelyn Irene (Fredericks) and the late Thomas Scott Amero. Jack of all trades and master of one, Robert received his mechanics license at age 60. He was a respected local business owner for over 30 years. Robert lived to hunt and hunted to live. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing and hiking. He loved Cape Breton and Newfoundland. Robert was a volunteer team member of the Annapolis County Ground Search and Rescue for 15 years. Many will remember him for his kindness, always treating others as he wanted to be treated and putting other’s needs ahead of his own especially when it came to his family. His sense of humor and valued words of advice will be missed at all family gatherings. He is survived by his common law partner Yvette Thimot of Hampton, his sister Isabelle of Moschelle, brother Steven of Hampton, children: Pataches (Leslie) of Paradise, Jolie (Tony) of Drayton Valley, AB., Rosey of Bridgetown and Robert ( Michelle) of Bedford; grandchildren: Stephen, Jarret, Kenita, Brianna, Jean-Pierre, Joseph, Kayla, Connor, Logan, and Elliott and many other beloved family members. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Bridgetown with Rev. Brian Wallace officiating. Private family interment will be in the Round Hill Cemetery. Special thanks to the VON, Annapolis Valley Palliative Care Unit and the doctors and nurses who cared for him at SMH, VRH and VG Hospitals. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be sent to Annapolis Valley Palliative Care or Valley Regional Hospital Carey Me Fund. On line condolences may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com
