Obituary of Leslie Lloyd Hudson

Please share a memory of Leslie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Leslie Lloyd, Hudson – 60, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Port Wade February 21, 2024.

Leslie “Les” was born September 21st, 1963 to Dorothy and David Hudson.  He was the eldest of his siblings.  He was predeceased by his father David; brother Leo, as well as many aunts and uncles.

Les married Angela (McGrath) in September 1981.  They built their home together on Hudson Hill, Port Wade, and raised their four children with love and joy.

He is survived by his wife Angela, their four children, William (Nicole), Julie (David), Daniel (Amanda) and Joey (Monica); his mother Dorothy “Dot”; sisters, Liz, Cora (Jason), Seretha (Jay); brother, Ernie (Linda); seven grandkids, Ali, Taylor, Colby, Maddie, Lexi, Zac and Asher; two honorary kids, Kate Ring and Cole Taylor; many cousins.

Les was a bus driver all his life and one of his greatest joys was watching the kids grow as he transported them to school.  He recently retired from bus driving but he certainly missed all the kids.

Les loved being on the farm and working the land as his family had for generations.  He raised chickens, pigs, and cows and was generally found somewhere in the shops or driving a tractor on the land.  He enjoyed bowling with his friends and had been a part of the bowling league for many years.  He loved when his family visited and was always happy to see friends so he could have a chat.

The Community has been deeply saddened by the loss and we will remember him always.

No visitation by request.  A funeral will be held 2 pm Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, with Rev. Deann Carter officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Royal Fire Department.  On line condolences may be made at www.kaulbachfamilyfuneralhome.com

In one of the stars I shall be living.  In one of them I shall be laughing.  And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing, when you look at the sky at night….You – only you- will have stars that can laugh!”
